“As two architects, we have specified Internorm windows and doors for clients in the past but recently we choose them for our own home. We wanted high spec windows to achieve our passive standard U-Values and also achieve great airtightness. Internorm’s windows met all our required standards along with other attractive features. The EWC showroom displays the various window profiles, ironmongery and colour options which helps a lot when making decisions. Since we wanted to achieve a high quality house the technical details were extremely important to us. Both Michael and Clive were very helpful in ensuring we achieved what we wanted and had great suggestions to problems we faced. Their fitting team on site had a brilliant attitude and it reflected in their quality of work and attention to detail. Peter noticed a scratch on the sliding door and was not happy with it so assured us that it would be replaced. Since installation I have had a number of queries about the tightening of handles and window seals and both Michael and Clive have quickly responded to my questions and have had the fitting team back out to ensure the windows are opening and closing properly. We are delighted with our new windows and the service provided by EWC. If you are looking for high quality windows and service I would highly recommend them, they are slightly more expensive but they are worth it and the follow up service is second to none”.

The quality of both the windows and doors and guarantee on the product finalised our decision to go with them. “We saw Internorm windows and doors in a neighbour’s house and were very impressed by their style and quality. Our neighbours also spoke of the professionalism and attention to detail of Eco Window Concepts (EWC) who installed the windows. We contacted Michael Meany who organised a viewing at their showrooms – he reminded us several times that Internorm is a high end product and more expensive than other options. We found EWC to be very knowledgeable about their products not at all pushy, in fact they encouraged caution before making a final decision. Our existing windows were more than 20 years old, were draughty and let in a lot of traffic noise. We live near a busy motorway. EWC made sure we were happy with our decision to replace all windows and doors and then measured up. During the installation EWC, led by Peter, were meticulous in their work, very clean and tidy. The difference after installation was amazing. All traffic noise had disappeared. The house was so warm that the heating system had to be turned down. The overall appearance of the house has been transformed and it stands out from the others – there is no doubt that the value has been increased by the good looking and high spec windows and doors. There was a small issue which required EWC to return afterwards – their representative Clive was top class in his approach and resolved the matter fully. We are delighted with Internorm and the service of EWC. It was a big decision and there were cheaper options available but it was absolutely worth the extra that we paid. We have a house that is warmer and quieter but it looks amazing and is full of natural light. It is like living in a new house. One of the best decisions that we have ever made. “We live in a 10 year old house which had very basic triple glazed windows installed in 2009. We finally decided it was time to upgrade our windows and doors in 2021. Internal condensation on the glass and frames was the biggest problem we had, not to mention drafts at the window corners.
Having completed research into window quality, aesthetics and efficiency rating and to ensure we didn’t get it wrong the second time we agreed Internorm was the company we wanted to deal with so we contacted Michael at EWC. He provided so much information about the product and advised the best range to suit our house.
The new windows arrived on time and were scheduled for fitting without delay.
Every window and door installed improved our view and natural light throughout the house. We have some complex windows in terms of size and shape and there were absolutely no problems at installation time.

As we have stone on our house, Clive and Michael advised the most suitable fitting detail and membrane to surround the window frame. They advised how best to eliminate an existing cold bridge which could be argued is outside the scope of replacing existing windows.

The difference the new windows and doors have made to the house have been well worth the investment. The way the rooms hold the heat compared with when the old windows were in place makes a major difference with no changes to existing insulation. The quality of the product is second to none.

Peter and the installation team were extremely tidy during the installation keeping the inside of our house as clean as possible. When installing one window Peter highlighted a minor mark on the outer frame which we would have never noticed but his honesty was so impressive and it was repaired as soon as the new part arrived in stock. Aesthetically the windows give the house the look it deserves.
Internorm greatly improved the security of our house and I realised this watching the EWC team removing the old windows. Within seconds the glass could be removed from the frames from the outside of the house!

I would highly recommend Internorm windows and doors by EWC. The showroom is well worth a visit where you will see the difference in quality from almost any window or door you will be familiar with”.

“We have been specifying Internorm products for many years and find the product to be of exceptional quality and performance, aesthetically very attractive and overall great value for money compared to other similar high-end window options. What sets Internorm apart from others are the details that we otherwise often have to compromise on due to manufacturer limitations – large expanses of glass with no breaks, large opening sections, wide openings, extra high window heads, etc. The large two pane sliding doors in particular are a huge hit with clients and can be opened and closed effortlessly. I have been away since the guys finished up the job, so just dropping you a note now to say thank you. Only now, I have had a chance to stand back and appreciate the new look of the house. It has given it a very modern look. The windows have a very superior feel and I much say a special thank you to Peter and the lads. There was an exceptional attention to detail in the installation that we really appreciated. Thanks also to Clive for answering all the technical questions and being so helpful with his advice and knowledge. The door works a treat.

“Having seen photographs in the papers the concept of a garden room adjoined to our house look ideal to us. Having investigated further we were put in touch with EWC (eco windows concepts) in Carlow. Upon getting an idea of what we had in mind and the layout of our house Michael Meaney of EWC pointed us in the direction of SDL ACUBIS model from the brochure. Having given Michael measurements etc we got the cost of the project which was more than we were planning to spend. After a second look at the SDL ACUBIS which is made by Solarlux, a German Company we went ahead. The building works went ahead as scheduled taking four days. We were happy with the engineers on site. They dealt with our queries and Michael and Clive were always contactable. We had some teething issues and their engineer efficiently solved the issues. There is only one aspect that would have improved our experience. If EWC also installed the floor which for us involved employing a third party in the process. Perhaps a suggestion for the future to make the process streamlined for the customer”

Following this recommendation we met Michael in 2019 at the EWC showroom in Carlow in which he couldn’t have been any more patient with us and our many questions. “In late May of this year Eco Window Concepts fitted our new Internorm windows and doors. We chose their Internorm windows after a lot of research and a visit to their showroom where we met with Michael. Our build was a complete room of glass windows and doors, floor to ceiling and open to our kitchen so we were not only concerned with aesthetics but also insulation value, the new doors delivered on both. During the build we were in contact with Clive who was more than helpful on the technical side of things and prior to fitting Clive visited the site to ensure all was in order.

We were given an installation date in May and the doors were delivered exactly as planned. The men that came to install the windows were so professional, watching such big panes of glass being lifted in with a crane and fitted was an added bonus! We have had no reason to contact Eco Windows since the room was constructed, everything they delivered and fitted so far is perfect. It was a big decision to go ahead with this build as we were aware it would be expensive, our house has an A3 Ber Rating and we needed ensure we kept that rating with the new room extension, these windows allowed us to do that.

We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Eco Window Concepts, from beginning to end they have been a pleasure to deal with, wish every company was as efficient.

Tip: the Oak finish on the inside is even more beautiful in real life than in the showroom”

“We first came across the Internorm product at the Self Build show in Dublin in 2019. We were just starting to build our new house at the time. The quality was the first thing that was apparent to us when we saw the product. We were in the middle of pricing windows from 3 other suppliers and we said we would get in touch with Michael at EWC to give him a shot at pricing it. We visited EWCs showroom and were very impressed with what we saw. one concern we had on our house was that our kitchen, dining, living area was facing south west and we had 7 metres of glass on a 12 metre long wall. We had been warned the living area could be a sauna if we didn’t take some precautions for solar gain. After a chat with Michael about this he came up with a solution of using a solar control glass (SKN). Of all the suppliers we spoke to no one else advised or offered us this. That typifies our experience with EWC ! They just go that extra mile, listened to what we had to say and came up with a solution no one else did. 

Our experience from dealing, ordering, delivery, installation was second to none with EWC and we had no issues what so ever which with a product as complex and important as the windows of a modern house is testament to the whole team at EWC and the quality of the Internorm product. 
 
We’re living in the house now nearly a year and have been through all sorts of weather without issues and on long hot days of the summer our SKN glass is definitely doing a great job of keeping the temperature down in our living area which we are delighted with.

“We initially heard about Internorm windows from our contractor, who noted that they were the best quality windows that he’d seen. We found Eco Window Concepts [EWC] online and set up an appointment to meet Michael and Derek at their showroom in Bagenalstown.

The showroom was excellent – with all the Internorm range on display – so we got a great idea of how the windows & doors looked and performed. “My wife and I moved into a newly built house in 2014 with our one year old daughter and new born son. From day one, my wife always found the hall to be very cold and drafty. After about a year, we started having problems with the hinges on the windows. Over time, I think we replaced at least one hinge on every window. Some windows we never bothered opening as we weren’t sure if we would be able to close them. We knew we have to replace the windows at some stage.
I found out about ECO Windows and Internorm windows through a fellow train commuter who works in the construction industry and was building his own passive/energy efficient home. Given this, I knew the product should be good.

I first went to the showroom in Mitcheltown and armed with basic plans of the house, number of windows and a basic idea of what we were looking for, Michael and his team were able to send us an initial quote after a few days. In December 2020, we visited the showroom in Dun Laoghaire to go through with Michael some of the ideas we had from the Internorm brochure, interior and external colours, etc. Michael gave us some very practical advice on what would and wouldn’t work. Michael and his team then conducted a complete survey of the windows being replaced which took half a day. Afterwards they sent us a near final quote for us to go through. This is best done physically window by windows. We had some questions about the finished and colours and Michael called over on two/three occasions with samples for us to see in situ. After finalising the order, we signed off on it and installation was the scheduled for around twelve weeks time. The installation proceeded pretty much on schedule.

I can’t praise Micheal’s team of fitters highly enough. There were anywhere between two and six people on-site depending on the day. The guys made great efforts to keep the mess down while working and ensured the place was clean on leaving every evening. We were never left with an open window space overnight, which was quite important with two small kids in the house. Any questions we had were always answered properly in a straightforward manner. The job took a few days longer than expected but the ethos is to do the job properly rather than to just get it done. The guys got on with the job each day, doing what needed to be done to instal the windows. Once the windows were done, the fitters and the plasterers reinstated the plaster and other bits. For example, a step had to be removed to fit a side door and the fitters replaced the step once the door was in.

It’s only been a month since the windows were installed and the increased warmth in the house and decreased noise levels are already quite noticeable. We’re very intrigued to see how the windows perform during the winter. ECO Windows are a low volume, high quality windows business.
While the windows are expensive, you get what you pay for. The improved warmth, lower noise levels and lack of maintenance going forward should pay back the extra cost of going with Internorm windows over cheaper alternatives”

“We commenced build of our family home in Wicklow in 2019 and although our builder who was to source all the materials and fittings, we decided to take on sourcing of good quality windows for our project. We visited showroom of EWC in Carlow and engaged with Michael Meaney who showed us various styles and options for Internorm windows and doors and who also provided us with a quote based on our requirements. At the time we obtained 2 other quotes from other window suppliers with similar product offering, but the quality of Internorm products and the service we received were far superior and therefore we decided to go with the Internorm range. From the initial engagement Michael was very easy to deal with and responded promptly to all the queries we had and from initial order to fitting service everything went as planned. Our builder was also able to engage directly with Clive, who was leading the technical support and visited the site on numerous occasions to make sure that everything was ready for fitting as agreed. Clive was very knowledgeable and experienced and offered practical solutions where required. The delivery and fitting of our windows went ahead as scheduled and the fitting crew completed the fit out within 2 days. They had great attention to detail and knew exactly what to do. In terms of pricing we initially thought that Internorm products were quite expensive, the other quotes we received from competitors for similar products had also similar price tag. The quality of the finished product was important to us and on this basis Eco Windows Concept definitely delivers value for money. We have been living in our house for a year now and we had no issues with any of the installed windows. The certificate and spec we got for the installed windows was more than sufficient for us to obtain BER A rating and we are truly delighted with the final result. “We built a holiday home in Kerry in 2019. We used Internorm Doors and Windows (supplied and fitted by Eco Window Concepts) and have to say we are delighted with them. We were lucky enough to have built in a cantilevered corner which meant we could use a post-less glass to glass corner, this is amazing. No one else could give us what we were looking for, glass corner and sliding door in such a big size.

We found dealing with EWC easy. Clive and Michael are very knowledgeable and offered good technical advice, little things like night vents, opening directions might not seem important at design stage but make a huge difference when you’re living in the house. The quality of the product is second to none and Peter and the lads took great care with the installation. There were a few little tweaks and adjustments needed as the build concluded and when I asked the guys to come back they were on site within a week or so, even coming from Carlow.

We are definitely satisfied with Internorm and the service we got from EWC”

“As windows and doors have a big impact on the performance and comfort of your home and are something that you hope will last for the lifetime of your house, we took our time on researching and visiting different window suppliers before making our minds up. We heard some horror stories in relation to some window suppliers so we wanted to make sure everything was going to be 100%.

We first came across Eco Window Concepts and the Internorm range at the Self-Build Expo in City West and straight away their product stood out aesthetically and in terms of quality.
We got in contact with Michael after the expo and he and his team were extremely accommodating from the start. Our work schedule meant that between my wife and I, we were working Monday to Saturday, so Michael agreed to open his showroom late one evening and this allowed my wife and I to visit together.

We received cheaper quotes off of different suppliers but with the cheaper quotes came inferior windows and doors. The Internorm windows have a frame over 90mm thick and the U-values ranged from 0.67 – 0.75 W/m2K with the majority of the windows having a U-value of 0.71 W/m2K. All other window suppliers we spoke to had window frames 70mm thick and U-values up around 0.9 W/m2K.

When we ordered the windows we were told there would be a 10 week lead time and they would be due on site the week of the 17th February. The windows arrived as promised on the week of 17th of February. Clive and the team of installers attention to detail was second to none, they were not trying to get in and out as quick as possible, they took their time to ensure everything was perfect. The first thing the lads done when the windows arrived was leave the window in the room it was being installed in, they then went around and mechanically secured the windows to a wall in the room to ensure the windows could not be accidentally knocked over. The lads spent the week installing the windows and doors making sure every aspect of the install was perfect; from asking about the floor finish in the rooms i.e. carpet, tile, laminate (to ensure no clash with openings once finished floor was complete) to making sure all windows and doors sealed nice and tight when closed.

When I was working on the house I accidentally sprayed one of the window frames with expanding foam and tried to wipe it off but only smeared it and made it worse. I rang Clive to ask what would the best product be to remove the expanding foam without damaging the frame. Clive came back to fit the handle on the front door and he also removed the expanding foam from the window frame for me.

The windows have been installed now for 18 months and we have never had any issue with any of the windows or doors.

When we are sitting at home on a winters night and we can see condensation form on the outside and then that freeze we know we made the right decision with Internorm.”

We were impressed with the solid quality of the Internorm Windows and the Solarlux bi-fold doors and decided to go for both.

Michael has a very knowledgeable and professional team of fitters working for him. They made the whole process as seamless and painless as possible. The quality of their work was second to none and their attention to detail made the real difference to the job. Some minor snags were addressed immediately.

The additional heat retention of the new Windows is noticeable and has also a big financial impact compared to the old windows. The extra sound proofing of the Windows makes for very quiet nights. Where previously we heard all taxis and food deliveries at night there is now silence.

EWC was very easy to deal with and is a very professionally run outfit. We can only highly recommend”.

We consider windows to be one of the most important decisions in a new build. Not all companies could accommodate the expansive glazing we required but Internorm had several options for us. Although they were more expensive than some alternatives we considered, we are definite we made the right decision in choosing both Internorm and specifically getting them from EWC.

“We are finally about to move into our new home 21 months after starting, not too bad when you consider the site was closed for 6 months in total due to COVID. In any event I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you and the team for a first class and attentive service from the outset of our journey from the time we first met almost 5 years ago.

As you know I did a lot of research in advance, with the windows and glazing being a key element of the project. In the end opting for Internorm was an easy decision as we did not find any other product out there to match the quality of Internorm. I have to say that it is a decision we have not regretted. As you alluded to from day one of our engagement, they are at the premium end of the market and so you pay a bit more, but it is a case of getting what you pay for. The windows themselves look fantastic with the oak internal finish downstairs and the white wood effect upstairs. The quality is very obvious and you can clearly see what you are getting for your money. I certainly look forward to the savings which we will achieve in terms of energy costs in the years ahead as a result of the triple glazing. We are also very impressed with the door which has now become a signature piece in that aspect of the house.

In terms of delivery and installation everything ran like clockwork. What was particularly impressive is that you were able to correctly predict the delivery date 10 weeks out with the truck arriving from Austria on the morning predicted. This was despite the impediments around the movement of goods across Europe just prior to the introduction of Brexit. Your team fitted the windows in a few days and the overall service was extremely professional.

Overall we are very happy to-date with both the service received here on the ground with a special thanks to you, Clive and the team that fitted and also the overall quality of the product. I would have no hesitation in recommending the windows and EWC as a company to deal with and have already done so”
