We asked our customers to write down their experience of dealing with EWC. We’ve been a bit overwhelmed with the positive feedback they gave us.
“As two architects, we have specified Internorm windows and doors for clients in the past but recently we choose them for our own home. We wanted high spec windows to achieve our passive standard U-Values and also achieve great airtightness. Internorm’s windows met all our required standards along with other attractive features. The EWC showroom displays the various window profiles, ironmongery and colour options which helps a lot when making decisions. Since we wanted to achieve a high quality house the technical details were extremely important to us. Both Michael and Clive were very helpful in ensuring we achieved what we wanted and had great suggestions to problems we faced. Their fitting team on site had a brilliant attitude and it reflected in their quality of work and attention to detail. Peter noticed a scratch on the sliding door and was not happy with it so assured us that it would be replaced. Since installation I have had a number of queries about the tightening of handles and window seals and both Michael and Clive have quickly responded to my questions and have had the fitting team back out to ensure the windows are opening and closing properly. We are delighted with our new windows and the service provided by EWC. If you are looking for high quality windows and service I would highly recommend them, they are slightly more expensive but they are worth it and the follow up service is second to none”.

New Build 2021
“We have been specifying Internorm products for many years and find the product to be of exceptional quality and performance, aesthetically very attractive and overall great value for money compared to other similar high-end window options. What sets Internorm apart from others are the details that we otherwise often have to compromise on due to manufacturer limitations – large expanses of glass with no breaks, large opening sections, wide openings, extra high window heads, etc. The large two pane sliding doors in particular are a huge hit with clients and can be opened and closed effortlessly. The sliding windows, glass to glass corner details, full height opening windows and so on all make for beautiful added design features. The front door designs are also unrivalled. When budget will stretch to Internorm, we find the end result more than makes up for the higher cost and longer lead-in times for our clients. We have been using EWC exclusively as our Internorm supplier for several years now, we find Michael and his team easy to collaborate with, always quick and helpful with responses to queries. A special mention also for Michael’s exceptional installation team. We have used the product in both new builds and refurbishments in Limerick and Kerry and would gladly recommend both the product and EWC to clients and colleagues”. Barbara Carey, Carey Architects, Kerry.
I have been away since the guys finished up the job, so just dropping you a note now to say thank you. Only now, I have had a chance to stand back and appreciate the new look of the house. It has given it a very modern look. The windows have a very superior feel and I much say a special thank you to Peter and the lads. There was an exceptional attention to detail in the installation that we really appreciated. Thanks also to Clive for answering all the technical questions and being so helpful with his advice and knowledge. The door works a treat.
I have a number of neighbours and friends that have booked themselves in for a look over the next week or two. Hopefully some will advance to orders for you. If you want to send others in the future to view the windows and doors, that is no problem. My commission rates are very reasonable 😉.
Michael, many thanks for all your assistance (and patience) throughout the process.

(Door & Window Replacement)
Having seen photographs in the papers the concept of a garden room adjoined to our house look ideal to us. Having investigated further we were put in touch with EWC (eco windows concepts) in Carlow. Upon getting an idea of what we had in mind and the layout of our house Michael Meaney of EWC pointed us in the direction of SDL ACUBIS model from the brochure. Having given Michael measurements etc we got the cost of the project which was more than we were planning to spend. After a second look at the SDL ACUBIS which is made by Solarlux, a German Company we went ahead. The building works went ahead as scheduled taking four days. We were happy with the engineers on site. They dealt with our queries and Michael and Clive were always contactable. We had some teething issues and their engineer efficiently solved the issues. There is only one aspect that would have improved our experience. If EWC also installed the floor which for us involved employing a third party in the process. Perhaps a suggestion for the future to make the process streamlined for the customer.
(Solarlux ACUBIS – April 2021)
We first heard about Internorm through our architect in 2018 who advised that they were one of the best window/door brands in the European market. Following this recommendation we met Michael in 2019 at the EWC showroom in Carlow in which he couldn’t have been any more patient with us and our many questions. In 2020 after comparing the quality, performance and cost of the Internorm windows to numerous other premium suppliers, we arranged to meet Michael again in 2020 at the EWC showroom in Dun Laoghaire at which we decided to go with EWC. The windows and doors were installed in early 2021 by the EWC team whom we found to be very professional. All the minor post installation issues that arose were quickly resolved by Clive and his team. We moved into the house in December 2021 and the Internorm windows and doors are one of the parts the house build that we are happiest with. We would highly recommend using Michael, Clive and the team at EWC.

(New Build – 2021)
We looked at a number of window suppliers and my only regret was not contacting Michael and the team at EWCL sooner. While they’re not the cheapest windows on the market, you’ll struggle to find better overall value. Our experience from beginning to end was seamless and the comment from our builder was that he had never seen a smoother & more professional installation. Quality and Integrity would be the two words I would use to describe both EWCL and Internorm windows and I couldn’t recommend them more.
Shane Power, Kilkenny 2021.
In late May of this year Eco Window Concepts fitted our new Internorm windows and doors. We chose their Internorm windows after a lot of research and a visit to their showroom where we met with Michael. Our build was a complete room of glass windows and doors, floor to ceiling and open to our kitchen so we were not only concerned with aesthetics but also insulation value, the new doors delivered on both. During the build we were in contact with Clive who was more than helpful on the technical side of things and prior to fitting Clive visited the site to ensure all was in order.
We were given an installation date in May and the doors were delivered exactly as planned. The men that came to install the windows were so professional, watching such big panes of glass being lifted in with a crane and fitted was an added bonus! We have had no reason to contact Eco Windows since the room was constructed, everything they delivered and fitted so far is perfect. It was a big decision to go ahead with this build as we were aware it would be expensive, our house has an A3 Ber Rating and we needed ensure we kept that rating with the new room extension, these windows allowed us to do that.
We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Eco Window Concepts, from beginning to end they have been a pleasure to deal with, wish every company was as efficient.
Tip: the Oak finish on the inside is even more beautiful in real life than in the showroom.
Lawler – Athy, Co Kildare.
Michael/ Clive ,
We are back in the kitchen and are just delighted with the windows.
As you said Michael the Solarlux Ceros slide effortlessly which is both the quality of the product and the great care in which they were installed. We could not be happier.
The attention to detail both with SBLM Architects design and the specification efforts with EWC has really paid off.

When it came to looking at windows for our new house I contacted EWC as I had seen some of their products at a Self build show. Michael got in touch with me and we arranged to meet at one of EWC,s showrooms. Michael showed us their products and sat down with us to explain the make up of the windows and the added benefits . We decided to go with Internorm windows and doors throughout the house. Michael was always on the end of the phone to deal with any questions that arose.
When it came to the installation Peter and the guys did a great job. There was a few windows that we needed to leave out and this was no trouble. They said they would call back wherever we were ready for them.
Once we moved in there were a few minor adjustments required. I mentioned this to Michael and he got Peter to call when he was in the area.
I would highly recommend Michael and the team at EWC.

When designing and building a contemporary house by the sea the advice we got was “make sure to find a window supplier that would provide a high quality well finished product”.
After a lengthy search we engaged Eco Window Concepts to fit Internorm Windows in our house at Youghal Co.Cork and we were not disappointed.
We are more than delighted with the finished product and in particular the quality of the window and the competence demonstrated by EWC fitting team.
We are delighted with the end result and would highly recommend Internorm by EWC.

(new build 2020)
We initially heard about Internorm windows from our contractor, who noted that they were the best quality windows that he’d seen. We found Eco Window Concepts [EWC] online and set up an appointment to meet Michael and Derek at their showroom in Bagenalstown.
The showroom was excellent – with all the Internorm range on display – so we got a great idea of how the windows & doors looked and performed. Michael and Derek were really knowledgeable and listened closely to our needs – we were quickly convinced that the EWC/Internorm offering was what we wanted.
Our site visit provide further evidence of the professionalism of the EWC team – Michael and Clive were excellent in providing input on the day and impressed our contractors and architect. There was some complexity in our eventual order – and some last minute changes – but Michael and the EWC team could not have been more helpful.
Delivery occurred exactly as planned [despite COVID] – and again, Clive was superb in ensuring that the installation went without a hitch – again, our contractors and architect were more than impressed with the attention to detail and the final finish.
We are delighted with the final outcome – the quality of the Internorm windows and doors is exceptional and they have been installed to the highest standards. The EWC team were a pleasure to deal with and most importantly for us, kept every commitment they made along the way.
I’d recommend Internorm windows and doors to anyone looking for a high-performing, high-quality product – and would highly recommend EWC as a supplier.

(Renovation and extension – 2020)
My wife and I moved into a newly built house in 2014 with our one year old daughter and new born son. From day one, my wife always found the hall to be very cold and drafty. After about a year, we started having problems with the hinges on the windows. Over time, I think we replaced at least one hinge on every window. Some windows we never bothered opening as we weren’t sure if we would be able to close them. We knew we have to replace the windows at some stage.
I found out about ECO Windows and Internorm windows through a fellow train commuter who works in the construction industry and was building his own passive/energy efficient home. Given this, I knew the product should be good.
I first went to the showroom in Mitcheltown and armed with basic plans of the house, number of windows and a basic idea of what we were looking for, Michael and his team were able to send us an initial quote after a few days. In December 2020, we visited the showroom in Dun Laoghaire to go through with Michael some of the ideas we had from the Internorm brochure, interior and external colours, etc. Michael gave us some very practical advice on what would and wouldn’t work. Michael and his team then conducted a complete survey of the windows being replaced which took half a day. Afterwards they sent us a near final quote for us to go through. This is best done physically window by windows. We had some questions about the finished and colours and Michael called over on two/three occasions with samples for us to see in situ. After finalising the order, we signed off on it and installation was the scheduled for around twelve weeks time. The installation proceeded pretty much on schedule.
I can’t praise Micheal’s team of fitters highly enough. There were anywhere between two and six people on-site depending on the day. The guys made great efforts to keep the mess down while working and ensured the place was clean on leaving every evening. We were never left with an open window space overnight, which was quite important with two small kids in the house. Any questions we had were always answered properly in a straightforward manner. The job took a few days longer than expected but the ethos is to do the job properly rather than to just get it done. The guys got on with the job each day, doing what needed to be done to instal the windows. Once the windows were done, the fitters and the plasterers reinstated the plaster and other bits. For example, a step had to be removed to fit a side door and the fitters replaced the step once the door was in.
It’s only been a month since the windows were installed and the increased warmth in the house and decreased noise levels are already quite noticeable. We’re very intrigued to see how the windows perform during the winter. ECO Windows are a low volume, high quality windows business.
While the windows are expensive, you get what you pay for. The improved warmth, lower noise levels and lack of maintenance going forward should pay back the extra cost of going with Internorm windows over cheaper alternatives.
O’Hanlon, Maynooth, (replacement windows 2021)
We had the pleasure of dealing with Michael and the team during the process of ordering and fitting our windows and doors. It was a pleasure to deal with Michael and the assistance he gave when ordering the windows, opening’s etc. The fitting process was superb, very detailed and not rushed, the whole process took 5 days. I am glad my wife and I choose Internorm as the quality and service was 100%.

(New build – 2020)
When we set about building our new home on a windswept, seaside location, the importance of having top- quality windows and doors soon became apparent. We looked at different options before visiting Eco Window Concepts, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow, agent’s for Internorm, a large passive [house] manufacturer.
Michael Meaney of E.W.C., explained the advantages of quality, low u- value windows and doors to meet our requirements for an energy efficient, comfortable home. Installation went without a hitch, and Clive is readily available for any after sales service. With windows and doors being such an important part of an energy efficient home, we would highly recommend a visit to E.W.C.’s extensive showroom before making a final decision.
Cork. (new build – with integrated blinds) 2020.
We recently installed Internorm sliding doors and windows on a house extension with EWC Ltd.
From the outset Michael was most helpful with advice on the aesthetics of how the finished project would look. EWC Ltd made us aware of an internal off white foil finish that has enhanced the finished product.
We selected an unusual external colour finish which did not cause any inconvenience or delay. To avoid delays and speed up construction, site dimensions and details were agreed with Michael and Clive prior placing an order. Units arrived on schedule and installed immediately.
EWC Ltd were easy to deal with and were always quick to respond to any queries that arose during the process.
Cathal Ware – Carlow. (Internorm – extension 2020)
We are absolutely delighted with our Internorm windows and doors, after almost a year since installation. A superior product , beautifully finished and worth the extra euros. Excellent pre and post sales service, happy to recommend.

(Replacement and extension)
We commenced build of our family home in Wicklow in 2019 and although our builder who was to source all the materials and fittings, we decided to take on sourcing of good quality windows for our project. We visited showroom of EWC in Carlow and engaged with Michael Meaney who showed us various styles and options for Internorm windows and doors and who also provided us with a quote based on our requirements. At the time we obtained 2 other quotes from other window suppliers with similar product offering, but the quality of Internorm products and the service we received were far superior and therefore we decided to go with the Internorm range. From the initial engagement Michael was very easy to deal with and responded promptly to all the queries we had and from initial order to fitting service everything went as planned. Our builder was also able to engage directly with Clive, who was leading the technical support and visited the site on numerous occasions to make sure that everything was ready for fitting as agreed. Clive was very knowledgeable and experienced and offered practical solutions where required. The delivery and fitting of our windows went ahead as scheduled and the fitting crew completed the fit out within 2 days. They had great attention to detail and knew exactly what to do. In terms of pricing we initially thought that Internorm products were quite expensive, the other quotes we received from competitors for similar products had also similar price tag. The quality of the finished product was important to us and on this basis Eco Windows Concept definitely delivers value for money. We have been living in our house for a year now and we had no issues with any of the installed windows. The certificate and spec we got for the installed windows was more than sufficient for us to obtain BER A rating and we are truly delighted with the final result. We are very happy with our Internorm windows and we do recommend Eco Windows Concept to our friends and family who are building or renovating their houses.

(New build) 2019.
Our experience with EWC was nothing but positive. We had seen the Internorm windows at a Self-build show & contacted Michael Meaney to learn more about the product. Michael invited us to their showroom where he spent time demonstrating & explaining the benefits of Internorm windows. From start to finish we found Michael a pleasure to deal with , their product is second to none, it was deliver on time & fitted by installers that took the time to ensure every window was fitted with 100% accuracy. It is the quality of the product along with the conscientious team from sales to fitting to after sales that sets Eco Window Concepts apart. They are not the cheapest on the market but they are certainly the best. If you want a lifelong quality product go to EWC.

(Internorm – extension and renovation – 2019)
I have worked with Michael from EWCL on a number of projects and would have no hesitation in recommending him on any project. The standard, fit and finish of the Internorm products is best in class, and Michael’s professionalism and skill of his team of installers is excellent. For anyone looking for outstanding performance, durability and finish, Internorm products would be top of my list.

Dublin (used Internorm in much acclaimed Sandycove Mews Passive House)
We built a BER A-1 rated passive house and installed Internorm’s triple-glazed windows, doors and sliding doors in our house. EWC who supplied and installed them were very accommodating, flexible and fast to react to our queries and requirements. We found Michael and his team of experts such as Clive, Peter and others very pleasant to deal with in the whole process of advice, ordering, supply, installation and after sales service. We appreciated their great attention to detail, pride in their work and finding good practical solutions which is so important when building this type of house. We highly recommend them to any one considering this type of installation.
We have nothing but praise! We wish all suppliers and contractors were like you!

(New build – Waterford)
We built a holiday home in Kerry in 2019. We used Internorm Doors and Windows (supplied and fitted by Eco Window Concepts) and have to say we are delighted with them. We were lucky enough to have built in a cantilevered corner which meant we could use a post-less glass to glass corner, this is amazing. No one else could give us what we were looking for, glass corner and sliding door in such a big size.
We found dealing with EWC easy. Clive and Michael are very knowledgeable and offered good technical advice, little things like night vents, opening directions might not seem important at design stage but make a huge difference when you’re living in the house. The quality of the product is second to none and Peter and the lads took great care with the installation. There were a few little tweaks and adjustments needed as the build concluded and when I asked the guys to come back they were on site within a week or so, even coming from Carlow.
We are definitely satisfied with Internorm and the service we got from EWC.
EO’C, Barrow, Co Kerry.
“As windows and doors have a big impact on the performance and comfort of your home and are something that you hope will last for the lifetime of your house, we took our time on researching and visiting different window suppliers before making our minds up. We heard some horror stories in relation to some window suppliers so we wanted to make sure everything was going to be 100%.
We first came across Eco Window Concepts and the Internorm range at the Self-Build Expo in City West and straight away their product stood out aesthetically and in terms of quality.
We got in contact with Michael after the expo and he and his team were extremely accommodating from the start. Our work schedule meant that between my wife and I, we were working Monday to Saturday, so Michael agreed to open his showroom late one evening and this allowed my wife and I to visit together.
We received cheaper quotes off of different suppliers but with the cheaper quotes came inferior windows and doors. The Internorm windows have a frame over 90mm thick and the U-values ranged from 0.67 – 0.75 W/m2K with the majority of the windows having a U-value of 0.71 W/m2K. All other window suppliers we spoke to had window frames 70mm thick and U-values up around 0.9 W/m2K.
When we ordered the windows we were told there would be a 10 week lead time and they would be due on site the week of the 17th February. The windows arrived as promised on the week of 17th of February. Clive and the team of installers attention to detail was second to none, they were not trying to get in and out as quick as possible, they took their time to ensure everything was perfect. The first thing the lads done when the windows arrived was leave the window in the room it was being installed in, they then went around and mechanically secured the windows to a wall in the room to ensure the windows could not be accidentally knocked over. The lads spent the week installing the windows and doors making sure every aspect of the install was perfect; from asking about the floor finish in the rooms i.e. carpet, tile, laminate (to ensure no clash with openings once finished floor was complete) to making sure all windows and doors sealed nice and tight when closed.
When I was working on the house I accidentally sprayed one of the window frames with expanding foam and tried to wipe it off but only smeared it and made it worse. I rang Clive to ask what would the best product be to remove the expanding foam without damaging the frame. Clive came back to fit the handle on the front door and he also removed the expanding foam from the window frame for me.
The windows have been installed now for 18 months and we have never had any issue with any of the windows or doors.
When we are sitting at home on a winters night and we can see condensation form on the outside and then that freeze we know we made the right decision with Internorm.”

(Internorm – new build 2019)
Myself and my wife had planned our new build property on an exposed elevated site in Co Carlow for many years and viewed numerous window companies’ products. We really wanted to get our choice of windows and exterior doors right both from an aesthetic, quality and BER point of view. We really did not need to look any further than Eco Window Concepts & the Internorm product.
From the moment we viewed the product in the EWC Bagenalstown Branch we knew this was the product for us. Michael & Derek could not have been more helpful with our choice of windows and doors, especially our large 4 piece slider which was important to us and not possible from other suppliers. Production and delivery was as planned and arranged seamlessly. Clive and the team on site fitting couldn’t have been more professional and really took time and care while fitting the Internorm windows and doors, while maintaining a tidy site.
Overall we were delighted to have chosen this local company and two winters later we are still raving about the product and thankful that we extended the budget slightly to go with EWC & Internorm. We would have no hesitation in recommending Michael and EWC. You will not be sorry.

(new build 2018)
We are extremely satisfied with Internorm and the team at EWC. We contacted and considered lots of different window companies before deciding to go with them. We consider windows to be one of the most important decisions in a new build. Not all companies could accommodate the expansive glazing we required but Internorm had several options for us. From the start we found Michael very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Although they were more expensive than some alternatives we considered, we are definite we made the right decision in choosing both Internorm and specifically getting them from EWC.
There were a few minor issues, which there always are with complicated order, however they were promptly dealt with. Michael pays 100% attention to detail and has an excellent team working with him.
I have no hesitation in recommending Michael and EWC.

(Renovate and extension)
Having visited all of the trade shows and researched a number of window brands, including checking out references from various home owners and visiting previous installs, we decided to purchase our Internorm Windows and Doors from Eco Window Concepts (EWC).
We are delighted with our decision and the quality of both the Internorm products and the installation. Our front door and the windows with the integrated blinds have been admired by a number of the tradesmen and visitors to our site.
The fitting crew employed directly by EWC couldn’t have been more helpful and, whilst we considered purchasing from another agent at the time in order to try and save some money we are delighted now, that we went with EWC as their fitting and after sales service is exceptionally good and a critical element in such an important order.
Thomas & Olesea, Waterford.
We are finally about to move into our new home 21 months after starting, not too bad when you consider the site was closed for 6 months in total due to COVID. In any event I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you and the team for a first class and attentive service from the outset of our journey from the time we first met almost 5 years ago.
As you know I did a lot of research in advance, with the windows and glazing being a key element of the project. In the end opting for Internorm was an easy decision as we did not find any other product out there to match the quality of Internorm. I have to say that it is a decision we have not regretted. As you alluded to from day one of our engagement, they are at the premium end of the market and so you pay a bit more, but it is a case of getting what you pay for. The windows themselves look fantastic with the oak internal finish downstairs and the white wood effect upstairs. The quality is very obvious and you can clearly see what you are getting for your money. I certainly look forward to the savings which we will achieve in terms of energy costs in the years ahead as a result of the triple glazing. We are also very impressed with the door which has now become a signature piece in that aspect of the house.
In terms of delivery and installation everything ran like clockwork. What was particularly impressive is that you were able to correctly predict the delivery date 10 weeks out with the truck arriving from Austria on the morning predicted. This was despite the impediments around the movement of goods across Europe just prior to the introduction of Brexit. Your team fitted the windows in a few days and the overall service was extremely professional.
Overall we are very happy to-date with both the service received here on the ground with a special thanks to you, Clive and the team that fitted and also the overall quality of the product. I would have no hesitation in recommending the windows and EWC as a company to deal with and have already done so.
